As a former Vogue and AD subscriber, I found the corporate history, especially the Newhouse family’s rise, more compelling than expected. The book shows how brand control and strategic discipline sustained Condé Nast’s dominance.
At times, the insider drama makes it feel uneven. Still, it’s a solid read for those interested in media, influence, and power. Not a must read otherwise.
