So far I'd give this book 3 stars. I am about to start a chapter where Ted starts telling Louisa the story of the painting. It's a slow start since I'm up to page 140 and haven't felt pulled in quite yet. I love books that talk about how great life is when you're 14 years old and it's summer time because I think that's totally true. This book has beautiful descriptions of the bond and love between childhood friends.

Started this book after my 9 year old son told me its a must read. Can't refuse that!

The decisions made by the main character are anxiety producing yet make sense. You are taken on a ride to see what would happen if you act on your impulses. Excited to see how this turns out!

Had to put in a lot of time to understand what the books within the book have to do with each other. In the meantime, the writing makes it enjoyable to read.

I'm not sure where this is going, but I'm into it. it's creepy and keeping my interest.

So far the author keeps talking about what we are going to read and I'm getting impatient. There is a lot of jumping around to different time periods with no clear rhythm or organization to the information.
