it’s alright. not my favorite book i’ve read.

damn i love tamlin and lucien 😔 i wasn’t gonna drink tonight but I’m missing them like crazy ✊

i actually like it so far. I’m going to put lucien in my pocket and take him home. he’s so adorable to me.

i don’t hate it as much as i thought i would so far. there are some plot holes and questions i have.

i like it, obviously

there’s a lot of action happening right now. very engaging and immersive.

good good. little quote that i liked “turmoil accompanies every great change” on pg 18

I’m rooting for fumiko and goro to get back together when he returns to Japan in 3 years. I think they are cute and there’s so much more that they need to say to each other. Fusagi and Kohtake…that’s just tragic. My heart dropped when it was revealed that he forgot his own wife but had a letter he wanted to give to her. I’m getting emotionally attached, but no too much :)

I think it’s cute so far. I understood why mom was having trouble following though, it took me a decent amount of pages to really grasp what was happening.

Oh good god this book is slow. I WANT to enjoy it. It’s just like I’m pushing myself to read it. Sorry Mr. Stoker but your book puts me to sleep

I feel bad for arthur :( like imagine the love of your life falls sick, a random Dutch man comes, makes you give her nearly all your blood, she still dies, and now you have to see her as a monster thus ruining the idealistic version of her you had to remember her by.

Interesting so far

Just the introductory phase of what the cafe can do and the rules of time travel. Also I’m assuming the characters introduced in this section will be main characters.

This is getting much better and easier now that I play the audiobook while looking at the words. It’s the same thing as watching subway surfers videos while listening to a podcast

Now I know medicine was different back then, but I’m willing to bet that all of these people donating blood to Lucy (John, Van Helsing, Arthur, and Quincy) don’t all have O- or Lucy’s blood type. So what if (and I know it’s fiction) BUT WHAT IF the wrong blood transfusions were actually what was making her sick? Did we ever think about that??
