Ok so i have like 3 unfinished books i’m reading right now but i randomly picked this one up for like 10 pages at the library in baltimore and unfortunately i think i’m hooked

I'm getting back into literacy . Also i feel like uhhhhhh switching back & forth between the romance and the Evelyn Hugo story is sortaaaaa awks disjointed . I'm unconvinced .... but i could be convinced !

Ok so I think I am coming to the conclusion that the romance is like 10x better than the #Mystery B plot. #Loving the snippy snappy dialogue. E. Henry you did not need to reinvent the wheel the wheel is fine

I just feel like in order to enjoy this book i really have to lock in & commit & meet it where it's at - Had to do that with Bunny / Norwegian wood / etc! But with this book it's like. I don't respect it enough to put effort into understanding it . I have no faith in it. My brain is not in a place to commit so heavily to something I don't totally love . Ugh

This book is lowkey killing me . I never dnf books on purpose especially not if i am this far into them . & It's so short anyway so im just gonna finish . But ... It's like . I feel like i can already sense that there will be no satisfying climax / ending / resolution / anything freaking interesting happening at all . Occasionally i will stumble upon a line i love but . This is honestly a nothingburger slog
