This book was definitely a fun summer read, and had quite a few similarities to one of my favorite musicals of all time, Mama Mia! I also thought it was interesting how the author showed the main character in grief and I could easily know what stage she was in and how people are not always nice when they are grieving. I really do not like a cheating trope in books, but I understand why it was included in this one.

I DNFd this book, however if you already have a lot of first hand knowledge of the theatre this book may be very interesting to you. I think it’s good, but it’s just not for me. Also, if you prefer audiobook, it is narrated by Miss Mama Mia herself, Meryl Steep!
