SHOUTOUT TO AMY for gifting Rowan this book for Christmas! I’ve been reading a couple chapters a night to the kids and we’re all really enjoying it!!! We’re studying the dark ages right now so it’s perfect.

Rowan is lapping me so hard on this series! He just started book 4! It makes me so happy of course 😆

My son is already on the third book! I’m trying to read this fast before he lets any more spoilers slip. It’s a fun read.

I got this book series for my 8 year old son for Christmas and he LOVES THEM. He’s already halfway through the second book. I decided to read them too, to connect with him and talk about them. I’ve never read them before but a lot of my friends who are 10+ years younger say that it’s their favorite book series from childhood. It’s enjoyable so far!

World building is not for the faint of heart. That being said, I’ve never read anything like it. So different and interesting so far.

I don’t know why but this has been hard to get through. I think maybe I don’t feel attached enough to the characters and the outcome?

Reading this to the kids and we LOVE it so far. It’s very close to Dickens’ original, barely different. So it serves well as a read aloud (rather than the kids reading it independently)!

This series might be losing me…

I’ve been taking this little book into the sauna with me. It’s blessing me so much!! Wow wow wow.
I weep at literally every story.
There’s something deeply vulnerable about crying alone in the sauna, naked, while sweating my face off. 😂 But it’s been cathartic and wonderful? Whatevs I’m into it!

Listening to this book on my walks every morning and I’m learning so much! Very foundational

This is one that makes me want to stay up all night reading.

So I can’t not read a KU book with a 4.4 rating. So far, so good!
