I guess violet is a better person than me because I would immediately run and tell anyone who’d listen about all these rebels’ kids meeting up in the middle of the night just to see them executed and have that many less potential conspirators to worry about.

I really hate to say this because the author is amazing, but I DNF. It got too slow for me and there wasn’t nearly the amount of tension I needed to keep me interested. I really liked the characters and setting but it just couldn’t hold my attention. This isn’t anything objective, this is simply my own subjective preferences.
