I really hate when author narrate their our fiction books. It never works out well

It’s 2025 why are we using the at word casually in a book. I was liking this one until now

This book is really chaotic

I am so freaking confused

Struggling with the narration. Her regular voice is fine but the accents are miserable. They aren’t consistent at all and sound like a caricature. A caricature of what, I don’t know as it takes place in Maine and well, they are not Maine accents at all. I’m a bit perplexed.

Story so far is ok.
