I'm reading the Finnish translation and I find many of Fanon's thoughts on how racism works - id. it's not a psychological trait, something that makes individual a bad person, like a box that can be ticked, but that it is historical, embodied, structural and cultural constellation - this is so relevant to 2017 and so little discussed from the militant anti-racist pespective! Or maybe it is discussed, but havent seen

Twenties was surprisingly fluid and enjoyable, it IS a page-turner. One note: I think the metaphor of Adorno as a thinker bent to "blowing holes in philosophical edifices" gets it exactly half-way right. That principle of negativity is there, he approaches systems in an aggressive or destructive way - and its catchy. But what is missed, is dialectics! Adorno always stresses dialectics, for him its "das System".
