The pictures are point blank inaccurate now. Annoying

They also look too alike, almost related for my comfort

Picture of chapter 17: wrong! Hair completely undone. And didn’t she have back hair? Meh :/

Dalia’s picture: I thought she had straight hair? It’s a pretty picture but I thought she had straight hair. Would’ve been so cool if she were to stand next to Liam. Or if she had sunglasses in her hair. Like it would feel more personal.

Also the book description/ blurb is not really fitting
I will need to explore that later

Not the most fitting picture. Actually a picture of nothingness… there should not be one here

Because grief is not and can never be limited to one scene. It’s something that we will always carry. Because when we lose someone, we mourn the life we are now forced to life without them and that doesn’t happen on 1-2 pages. It happens at the most random times. When a strange reminds us of our person in the train. Or when we want to fall asleep but our mind forces us to think about them randomly. = inaccurate

Because if we have the benefit of only one pov and a focalized narrator, shouldn’t we use all the positives of that’s and really hone in on the emotions poor Katie can feel.

Where is the impact? Where is the hurting?
Maybe I’ve just lost enough people to know that this is not accurate. Wouldn’t call it a privilege tho

I feel like loss and grief and the experience if loosing someone in battle it just inadequately handled. Losing Jim was like she ironically said oh no. There is no inward sadness. No mourning longer than 1 page. It’s not enough to be realistic.
There are beautiful sentences during the scenes but it’s not enough

Also: the way some things are written or described or detailed feels magical to me. I love some descriptions dearly. Especially some small ones of feelings

I like the humor, it’s not taking itself to seriously

I feel like you can actually tell people apart by the way they talk. Love that!

A lot of times skips are spent blacked out or unconscious which doesn’t have to be the case tho. Time can fly when she’s busy rebuilding eg

It’s also interesting that it’s only one pov. I haven’t had that in a while. However, I would wish for more emotional insight. For more judgement and maybe less neutrality. More character shining through. I love the ideas of the world so far. Cora is really cute and I would hope for more characters like her

However, I like he ür power. It’s cool. I’m interested to see if the others can use it as well. I get the feeling there’s more to Shannon and I don’t know what to think. Definitely interested to read more. Don’t know if I would say hooked tho. I love the idea of making magic through singing. That is something that sprachst to me on a personal level and I wish that it would be explained better

Picture of chapter 9 is NOT depicting the situation as it was. Not fitting at all. Also shift in facts, structure and traits again. Maybe it would’ve been better to leave it out.

The pictures are also inconsistent with different traits and aspects

At pic 4 there’s again ai imperfections. I don’t like it

I appreciate how detailed and relatable her love for beri is written, but i feel like there Is not enough mourning or grief for the rest by all characters. Mourning the brother is also not talked about enough

3rd picture: THE AI PICS 😭 I can’t

I would wish for a bit more world building, slight info dumps would help. Learning everything through dialogue or thoughts is quite straining right now. So the most minimal interruptions to explain small thing could make things easier

2nd picture: ai mistakes visible! Gorgeous but visible! The pinky and some hair strands and the bench in the background

But it rather looks like it because several detail that were previously mentioned are amiss in the picture

First picture is GORGEOUS I kinda hope they’re not ai created

Okay coming in with a lot of unknowns, chaos and lack of explanation. Interesting and fitting considering the chaotic scene

Of course Niall escaped… because there needs to be a villain for the next book….of course he did. It would’ve been interesting if he turned out to just be a lap dog for his father who then in turn would have been the main villain. Because some parts of his last villain speech sounded very daddy issues esque

I think during the last 100 pages they pace really sped up which i appreciate
But I’ve noticed some spelling mistakes. Not sure if it’s my edition or in general tho
