I have no idea what is going on, and the cliffhanger doesn't help at all. Who is the "hulk" character? How could they transform? What does Batman mean by his last line? I feel like this tale was just a way to mock the meme "I'm Batman" but for what purpose, I cannot say

In some ways, Bruce never grew up; he remained a traumatized child. He can never stop reliving the moment his world broke apart. Every criminal he stops is the one that killed his parents. This story captures that, and shows that the Batman may be just as crazy as his rogues gallery.

Batman rescues the common folk, and Wayne employes Gothamites that serve the bat. Its also a look at what makes a hero; perhaps the man who supplies the tools can be a hero, too. And sometimes, a boy's own father is their best hero

The story captures Batman's sympathy for victims of crimes, but it was too fast paced for the story elements which leaned into supernatural element, a little. It also felt like the writer wanted to say Batman allowed the scientist to meet their justified fate at the hands of their mad creations.

A what if tale within a random story; we get a look at some perversion of a random Gothamite. The story csptures the insanity that all citizens must be suffering from insanity. Or maybe this is just a closer look at a mind not yet fully corrupted and accepted as flawed.

Batman kept his promise: a child did not witness their parents' murder. A simple straightforward story that is as much an homage as it is a filler. What makes it even better is that Bruce expresses his softer side at the end, giving a family a present they'd not soon forget

The only good thing about this stroy was that Batman cared for the child. Beyond that, it was a longwinded rant from an abusive, and neglectful father, trying to justify his actions. I almost wish Batman had just punched the prick out.

Returning to the roots of the character, which calls the shadows home, scaring criminals senseless. This was a fun short tale, from the POV of the criminals not wanting to believe in the myth plaguing the Gotham underworld

Batman does not forget the criminals or victims, and he surprises folks with how big his heart is. From acquiring the sidekick Robin to changing up his costume a little, he never wants to frighten children. And this story is an example of the lengths he'd go to achieve that feat.

A love letter from father to son as the background is a wonderful setup. And the letter being read by Alfred, the surrogate father, was the cherry on top. The whole while, Batman is living out a skewed vision of a wish from his father was an absolute ethos move.

I don't get the purpose of setting the story up for the reader to experience actors in the roles, only for the tale to end with the actors still in costume leaving the workday. What makes it worse is that the esthetic of Batman was totally missed.

The detective has come to play, making the GCPD look like fools for missing certain clues. I thought of giving it a lower rating because it didn't lean hard enough into the sleuth aspect of the character. But I appreciate seeing the hero not just use his fists to solve things, though he did knock the criminal out for the cops to capture.

A petty lowlife got the upperhand on Batman. And then the hero hears the "voice" of the city itself. That's the premise in a nutshell.
(Low level) bad guy gets away and Bruce is having delusions of the city calling to him, to join and empower him so that the streets are protected. It has the feel of the symbiote (from Marvel) which is not the character, at all.

Batman was originally a street level vigilante with money, and this story uses that consept, but with a modern "slums" twist, skating a fine line of racism and reality. Justice doesn't care about age or skin color, so yeah, kids can get a little Bat-Justice. And of course he'd really go after the adults putting children in harm's way (ironic, I know). The ethos of lost and warped-minded kids hits hardest.

Batman Beyond Beyond, anyone?!
Gothamites without hope is not really a thing, because they have Batman. Even in the far, dystopian future where utilitarianism reigns, the people can dream of the better days in the past where a vigilante struck fear into the hearts of criminals. This story plays on that idea and provides an interesting POV to capture the bleakness but spark of wishing better would come.

I am being way generous. This was not a Batman tale at all. He literally shows up last page, as the avenging demon of local lore. But the history of the trumpet, with its supernatural aura and flare is worth mentioning. Authro had a story to tell and threw Batman in to tie it into DC Universe.

This tale definitely captures the bedlam that is Gotham, with its psychotic villains. Love that Batman tries to talk sense into the mentally broken criminal, while slapping him around.

From the poses to the spoken verbiage, this did not feel like a Batman story. It pored a little more into the mythis of the charcater that Gotham gossips about, and it had this surreal supernatural feel to the plot. It was more like a civilian on the street telling what they heard about the legendary Batman

This story brought me to the graphic novel, and I admit that I was bummed. It doesn't explain how Harvey got over Grace Lamont so effortlessly, doesn't even mention her; though it does show he can love. It did capture Harvey's madness, his psychosis around duplicity. But how Harvey reacted (SPOILERS AHEAD), re-disfiguring himself and not being able to accept whats right before him seemed forced.

This captures the ethos of the Batman character. People (including the writers and fans) tend to forget why Bruce does what he does: he doesn't want any child to ever feel what he did. One could argue that he doesn't want anyone suffering from crime, and this story captures that idea. No big name villain or world ending plot; just a person Bruce doesn't want forgotten.

Influencer spilled the beans ... puled a Tom Holland. But why does this change of POV sound like the character is being interviewed?

Really? That's the best character the author could come up with for this purpose? A Black drug addict turned actor with an Irish name?

... there are so many characters in this book, and I am not sure why I need to know so much about each of them. I think its part of humanizing the whole process of making movies; it's a difficult and complex job that some enjoy doing while others just see it as it is

Regrettably, I cannot say I know Ynez's character is being troped. But, it definitely feels like it. All those people living under one roof and her nonchalant "niceness" at allowing herself to be bossed around by a PA, just feels off-putting.

The second female character of importance, and the first acknowledged person of no-white/caucas ancestry, and that's her backstory? It couldn't be that she wanted to be nurse or CEO and was working her way up? She had to have a traumatized childhood?

Just now getting to pre-production of the major motion picture the title mentions.
There's a lot of world-building (character and setting building).
A lot of backstory to several characters, and I'm not introduced to all of them yet.
I do like "the story behind the story" concept, but this is "a story behind the story behind a tale" ~ an aggressive task

Tally is not quick-witted. This girl is a habitual liar.
And the way its written, its already sizing up to be part of a series.

What is wrong with this kid? Did Tally really not suspect the fail-safe device on the chain? But she is quick on her feet, I guess, maybe.
