Did anyone actually edit this book? It’s disjointed, material is repeated over and over. Not well written.

I'm not sure I'm going to finish. This books lacks all of the magic of the previous books I have read by the author. Honestly it just feels like a big education broadcast for how terrible many overseas workers have it, and they do, no doubt, but not what I'm looking for in a novel. It's plodding, and the plot is not very interesting so far and very thin. Disappointing.

Hating it so far. Drugs. Just not my jam. There's nothing remotely entertaining about people doing drugs. Drugs have ruined too many people's lives. So disappointed in Jane Green I can hardly stand it. Not likely to read another of her books, not sure I'll finish this one.

I really, really kind of, and more and more all the time, dislike Marnie. I think she's selfish and self-absorbed and self-centered and a steam roller. Uuuugh.

This book is kind of awful. Well, I love reading it, but I very much dislike the main character. She’s too absorbed in doing what she wants to do, living how she wants the world to be, to take notice of what the person she claims to live most in the world needs. Ugh.

I just can’t anymore. I don’t care. I don’t care what happens, I don’t find the characters interesting enough to want to know what happens. It’s a DNF for me even though I try really hard not to do that.

I’m so tired of books where I don’t like the main character. Sydney is just not nice. Plus she consistently makes bad choices and then moans about her circumstances. Frustrating.

I don’t know where this is going, but I love this book.

Honestly, not liking it much. Author doesn’t really seem like a nice or likable person. Disappointing.

Robyn Carr is definitely against stay at home moms and I find it offensive. There have been several passages in the book about how you have to be working to be contributing, to have self worth. Disappointing and wrong. Stay at home moms make huge contributions.

Sloooow. Painful. Melodramatic. Selfishness. Not sure I care enough to finish.

SLOW. So slow.
