Unpopular opinion, but I actually LOVE long chapters. When I was reading The Faithful and the Fallen, one thing that annoyed me was the short chapters. I’m so glad that this book has chapters that are about 20 pages long. While short chapters can be effective in thrillers or romance in epic fantasy I really DESPISE them.

We’re only 3 days into 2025 and I am already slumping soooo harddddd!!!😫😫😫

I listened to The Will of the Many audiobook while reading the physical book, and I LOVED it!!! 😍 That narrator could read me a grocery list, and I’d still be hooked (I think it’s the British accent) But I tried doing the same with this book, and it’s so boring 🥱 From here on out, I’ll just stick to reading the physical book.

I know I’m supposed to hate the legacy kids who get everything handed to them because of their families, but I actually feel kind of sorry for them. Imagine having all those ancestors who were at the top of their field, only for you to come along and be so bad at what you do that your dad has to pull strings to get you the most prestigious job, one that 50 others are more qualified for.
