I was hoping I’d finish this before the movie came out, alas here we are. But omg. This book is everything. The writing is beautiful.. Poppy. Alex. They’re so real to me and I’m only 12% in but I’m 1000007% invested !!!!

Also the way their friendship is described is so bittersweet, beautiful and painfully nostalgic :):
