Nicholas Bering is on page 72 of 473 of Structured Design: Fundamentals of a Discipline of Computer Program and Systems Design
Fascinating read... useful for placing design practices in a historical context alongside programming language development. I like reading some of these older works, as separating the modern technological and business context helps to find the timeless aspects of humans and their relationships to each other, and technology.

Nicholas Bering is on page 55 of 220 of Engineering Management for the Rest of Us
So far this book has been very helpful! I found it just the right amount of theory and practical advice for my tastes. As a Staff Engineer, I found this more helpful for filling in the details of what my management counterparts care about, than reading pure management books.

Nicholas Bering is on page 23 of 292 of The Design and Engineering of Curiosity: How the Mars Rover Performs Its Job (Springer Praxis Books)
Leisure-time reading... but with note-taking!

I love how the book references primary material, making for a detailed accounting of the Curiosity/MSL mission, in both a scientific and historical context.

Nicholas Bering is on page 85 of 473 of Building Microservices: Designing Fine-Grained Systems
Taking this book slow, and following references to papers and other books to strengthen my background knowledge. So far, I find the author's approach to architecture to be very pragmatic.
