I agree this book has real potential. However it appears to be self-published through Springer/Praxis in 2011 as part of their Astronomers' Universe series, and no professional editor is credited in the front matter or acknowledgments. I've found several editorial errors and while I can normally let these things slide it is very distracting.

The "readable" parts of this book include up to page 369. The rest are all the extensive end notes and bibliographies.

This book is not 483 "readable" pages. That number includes the extensive end notes and references. The proper ending is page 367.
