Actually cool and normal to get so burnt out on forging policy/global conflict non-fiction that you start to feel an overwhelming urge to read some children’s lit

feeling mentally ill so it’s time to reread Emily Austin

do NOT ask me why I am re-reading this book right now 🙅‍♀️🚫

I love near-future scifi but god this was a slog to get through. It required such a huge suspension of belief that I just could not get past.

Also the writing was Not Good. It was just a worse version of Annie Bot.
