She was a virgin like 3 days ago and with no prep she's able to DVP. Well actually no, because she tells them how much it hurts, but they tell her they won't stop no matter what she says, but in the same breath they won't hurt her. ??????

Then immediately after they take her ass, which still hurts her, but she's "blissed out" afterwards.

He locks her in his penthouse and she just paces around? This whole series she's rebuked his money and status, she's a problem solver. Yet lock her in a penthouse after he tells her she's gotta be his dirty little secret and all her intelligence goes out the window over designer clothes of all things.

That penthouse should be on fire, not hosting project runway

The FMC has said don't touch me I don't know how many times now and like meant it, and the MMC is going to take what he wants. So this book isn't off to a great start

17 chapters in and I kinda hate the FMC. I'm reminded of Pinocchio when they go to Pleasure Island.

So far, I hate Luke/Lucifer. Every time he talks I just want to give up on this series.

I'm on Chapter 5 and I may DNF this one. As a veteran, I am cringing hard at the FMC already.

I'm so sick of hearing I'll take you over my knee. It's been said too many times that it just detracts from the book.

Also, when the FMC in any book is giving fair pushback and asking fair questions and the MMC comes back with some version of "keep talking and I'll put you over my knee" That's not spicy, at least not in a good way. It's also a gross mischaracterization of being bratty.

I've wanted to give up starting at around 9%. The writing style makes it difficult to read and understand what's going on.

I'm also super confused about the loving mother described in the prolog vs the raging bitch we meet in Chapter 5.

Oh, and the way the FMC talks about her eczema is just off putting. Like, is this book about eczema or demons?

The way Josie just gives in to Holden in Chapter 20 annoys me.

Like, she has valid reasons to be angry at him, and she just gives in to him saying "you look so hot when you're angry," and suddenly they're in bed together.

Then immediately she feels ashamed.

I was really liking her until then.

So far, I hate it. So much so that if it continues on like it has, I'm gonna DNF.

Bash is classic Toxic who we're supposed to believe he isn't because he has a sister and a mother, and Greer is portrayed as being strong, competent, and in charge, but the reality is she's weak and just controlled by her hormones.

So far, Grey sucks. He meets and mate and he's still hell bent on manipulating her for his own gains? Like, if there isn't a serious redemption arc for him (still early enough in the book to hold out hope for) I'm going to be so mad.

This book seems less about Harry and more about the women in his life, which the author makes subtle cheers/jeers at

There's a lot of backhanded bashing of Princess Diana. Similar to how the author spoke of the price of Megan Markle's clothing, she's doing similar with Princess Diana.
