I need Jacks and Evangeline to love each other already.

It’s decent, characters are interesting. It’s your copy-paste fake dating scenario. Hate each other, slowly learn each other and then slow burn pining the whole book.
My biggest gripe is the names. Fmc is Lottie which isn’t too bad. But main guy is Huxley?? Just.. weird names for the main couple and then his brothers are JP and Breaker. Some pretty bizarre choices imo

It seems like the author is trying too hard to sell how alternative the fmc is?? I love me a non-stereotypical main girl, but it’s constantly the focus whenever she’s introduced and just being 43 pages in, it seems a bit much. Hoping it dies down.
But the TENSION?! I’m so here for it. Can’t wait to see how it progresses.

Liking it so far
Lots of fun tension between Violet and Xaden, her friends and the professors.
I’m having doubts about Jesenia, feel like something is going to happen with her leaking something about Violet whether it’s on purpose or accident.
Hate Varrish, I’m already looking forward to Tairn and Violet destroying him.

It’s just so much and not even being halfway through makes it tough.
