Read a few Kafka books in my late teens (mainly The Trial) and thought I'd reconnect by reading a book of short stories - which includes Metamorphosis. Only a couple of stories in, but it's like every nightmare I've ever had

Pretentious. Awful. Gave up after around 15%.
