Author is adding various words in Russian. To make it feel more real I suppose. But he’s probably used Google Translate and he has got the sex wrong. Which does matter in Russian but not in English. How can you write a book that has Russian characters and you’ve not bothered to have it proofread by someone who speaks Russian?

That episode with firing sniper rifles that just sit on bean bags….. I mean. That’s just idiotic.

So far, not very good. I generally enjoy these kind of jack reacher style shoot first ask questions later stories, but in this book the author opens with intro on how he’s researching stuff and making sure things are depicted accurately. And then there’s a chapter on some super intelligent AI that works on the “8th level of internet”. WTH? Makes me question everything else about the book.
