I always forget that I’m reading a book by an Irish author until they whip out the word “eejit”

Act 2 is so fricking good!
I really like what Williams did with the scene where everyone gets bloodied, and I like how the play portrays Simon’s whole shabang more than the book or tv show. I really hope we do justice to this script tho bc idk how we’re going to do this stuff

Finished Act I. Reading this because it’s our school play this year!!!

I feel like (though I haven’t finished it, so I might be proved wrong) lots of the symbolism of the book is being dropped, and lots of side characters are being sidelined. I was upset at this at first, but it was probably the best thing to do considering that the play has a lot less time. I like the way the boys talk; it’s weird.

When I was researching where to get into the Realm of the Elderlings series, I saw lots of people warning that this book drags and advising to start with Liveship Traders instead. It might be because I typically read more litfic than fantasy, but this has not been my experience at all! I’m SO hooked. Fitz is such a likable protagonist, and the writing is simply amazing!
