A historical Korean drama unfolds in my head. i blame the romance mangas i've read in secondary school for my problematic love for tsundere tropes — idc sue me. The last time i devoured a book this quickly was The Song of Achilles lmao.

I’ve been picking up this book intermittently. I forgot Tomas had a son!?!?? deadbeat father fr. I’m loving the prose, but the characters feel so black and white that I’m struggling to sympathise. Maybe that’s the point? The entanglements are quite peculiar, though i suppose, infidelity here is also being used to reflect the political context: totalitarianism vs personal freedom.

It took me painfully long to finish The Road Less Travelled. I gave it a 5 for its profound perspectives on spiritual growth, which taught me so much.

But as I read, it continually prompted me to retrace old roads 😔—herein lies the conflict haha. Introspection is good for the soul, in moderation of course!

Stayed up late reading this to initiate some juvenile wonder - felt like a lil kid again reading under her covers. my first attempt to resuscitate the lover girl this summer.
