DNF, the pacing and writing is giving very YA and it's not hitting for me

The FMC starts off being naive with no sense of self preservation. Super annoying so I was waiting for the character development but WHERE IS IT.
She's literally so DUMB and after the last 2 books of the FMCs being in the know about mafia life this was like whiplash the other way.
Don't get me started on the MMC...bro go kill her dad and move on he already agreed to the trade

DNF the last straw was "patience my sweet" in foreplay.
Disappointing followup to the book 1 cliffhanger why did I buy it regrets
