Chapter 35 - 36 had me so emotional 😭. Elderly couple who know what their future and final moments await as Pestilence makes his presence. They are each other’s soul mates and where one leaves the world the other follows.

Typo in the book. Mid way through the page I’ve read double sentences that are repeated. Lines“ 14-18”. Reads as follows; “ Groaning, they obeyed their father’s commanding voice. They slid down Fenrin’s back, and her brother slumped, expelling a low, relieved breath.”

Okay so when Rune was so called “killed”, I was slightly devastated that I was hoping he would come back to life. I truly thought he and Sunneva were meant to be. However, my wish came true but not in the way I expected it. The story keeps getting better and better. I’m so hooked.

So far I’m immersed into it. I’ve developed feelings for the characters already, but as I’m falling for Rune, the unexpected happens. How could he sacrifice himself so quickly??! But I get it. It’s all in the name of love. We would do anything for the ones we deeply love. I just hope he revives again. I can’t say that he’s completely gone as I feel I’m still in the beginning stages of the plot.

So far the story is now coming together and now I have a good understanding of what and how the blood lore began. Looking forward to finding out more on the main character Floriane.

So far it’s taking me time to really get into the story. I’m not really feeling the connection with the main characters but perhaps it’s too soon.

Okay so far it’s still got its hooks in me. I was losing a bit of interest only because it always seems like Baleros is mentioned so so much. However, I bypass it because the suspense of trying to figure out what Ariana’s other side was has finally been revealed. Now it’s a matter of piecing the background story of Wraith and Ariana. Why is The God of Death on his kill list.
