Stayed up till 2:00 AM reading this last night. While I don agree with his critique of Alan Jay Lerner, how can you not be in awe of a book that tosses off a criticism that Lerner was a "chameleon of one color"? What a GREAT line. And yes, I agree with others, he seems a bit mean spirited to Oscar Hamerstein II.

Garry is reading Bleak House
That Charles Dickens sure can tell a good story! Ready to dive into the next one, but I need a little non-Dickens period before I delve into.... Tale of Two Cities? Nicholas Nickelby? Hard Times? Twist? Hmmmm.

Garry is finished with The Count of Monte Cristo
With his "good deeds" behind him, The Count is focused on revenge, the book is back to form and thoroughly exciting and engrossing.
