Chapter 1- I’m guessing I will understand later but who is Him and why was the section written like that? I had to reread it to still not really understand. On a different note the smoking Hollywood gag with the gas mask had me dying of laughter.

On pg. 72 I felt called out when the author said that we “know the answer or can guess it easily since we are sitting comfortably at home” and I was like nope. I’ve pondered it and have no idea guess that means Gollum would eat me. Quite humbling actually.

Chapter 1-
I never knew that the songs from the movies were actually written in the book. It makes it so much cooler. I also loved singing it to myself and like when it tells you to look at the map. As someone who watched the movies 1st it isn’t different at all so far from the movies.

Spoilers-

So I was really afraid that when the first chapter came to pass that they were just going to retail it but they didn’t. It being in his perspective and knowing already how she felt during this same exchange was a masterpiece. Though I do hope they find happiness in this marriage of Circumstances.

So far it reminds me of the book The Obsession by Nora Robert’s.

I’m at the start of chapter 10. I have never read a book that has a dialect and it is fun to read….though I do believe I sound quite stupid.

Anyways I was quite confused when I started this book thinking I had not started with book one but after getting past that part I understood. I love that this goes back and forth between both main characters. The set up so far for what is to come is quite lovely.
