Chapter 9: “Wine, Women, Kings, and Truth”.

What a chapter. The title gave me some assumptions that mislead me. Within the first few pages I realized those assumptions were off-the-mark, which made me realize I was reading peakness.

I rotate this in as a break from the more dense Catholic theology. Gives a short vignette about Saints that are interesting enough to get you to research them in more detail on your own.

Really enjoying the concept of someone alive being brought into the spiritual realm of hell, then soon to be purgatory and heaven. I really enjoyed the A Christmas Carol (Disney) movie, and I’m sure that this book inspired that. The groundwork of Christianity mixed in with Dante’s ideas of the realms are awesome.

-1 ⭐️ due to being out of touched of Italian culture of the time.
