I'm literally forcing myself to get through this one. Ava Ross, you're much better than this. (And what ticks me off is the premise is right up my alley. But told in a way that'd cure insomnia.

To really suck me in to a PNR, there's gotta be interesting world building. This one's got it!

DEEEEAM. I knew I enjoyed his Buckaroo stories, but this? This is incredible. I never thought I'd be glad to be trapped in jury duty, but I can't stop reading. So, today I win.

I love the way a lot of exposition is delivered by Violet as a way to self soothe as she's dealing with physical challenges. Excellent.

Hank dated "a firey Latina" who was "all about drama". His mate lives in NYC but cuts through Central Park at night. Between the stereotypes and stupidity? DNF.

Michael, The "other guy", is an absolute jerk. Instead of his POV, which is completely unnecessary as he's creepy AF - it'd be better to just See him be a jerk. But this author is writing base level, so I'm hoping the storytelling will be better as this book & the series continues.

Just not into it. The world building is mid, the characters are intriguing but it's too much panting for even an erotica. DNF.

Series mythology gaffes, tense mistakes, forgetting who's doing what.

So far, the whole mythology of the series has been rewritten. Now? The bride cannot say no, and she knows who she'll be marrying. I'm not digging it. But I'm in, so let's try another chapter or two.

Leprechaun Dude is an annoying jerk, yet Our Gal thinks he's an absolute hoot. (Unless it's her storefront that's affected...) Livestock on roofs, destroying storefronts, and wall to wall shamrock graffiti everywhere? Either this author is made of money and has access to lifts that can easily/safely hoist livestock off roofs, or is a lot more forgiving than I'd be. Probably both.
