The traditions and how easy Paul goes along with them are confusing but this is some great world-building! Perhaps one of the best world building I’ve read, ever

Now that the characters are in Rome, I'm so so happy whenever I recognize places from a book :) (ps. I'm mad at Elio for not liking Sant'Eustachio)

It's such a dream reading this book... Currently I'm in a small beach town in Italy, fully soaking in the story. And I'm already in love with André Aciman's writing.

I miss Rome and I wanted to read science fiction. Did not realize that it was a poorly written YA though :(

I find myself expressly gasping throughout this book. Especially in this particular page!

For some reason I can’t help but think that Jojo Rabbit was inspired by this book. Not only with the Hitler Youth, but also with Madame Manec.

so far; Taste, Nunc Dimittis and The Way Up to Heaven are my favorites. (and of course, my all time favorite Lamb to the Slaughter)
