This fantasy has an epic, but approachable feel to it so far. I'm really enjoying the world building and the growing dynamics between the characters!

NO! I can't believe JI killed off that character! I don't even get the point of it plot-wise. I really liked where their arc was going, one of the few characters I felt invested in still.

Finally getting close now! It's been a bit of a slow read for me despite my investment in Vis as a character, and my curiosity over where everything is leading and how it will all ultimately converge.

Got this free from Amazon first reads! Sounded like it might be interesting, and is a change of pace from what I normally read.

Not going to lie, this book thus far has been a little slow and disconnected for me? It has picked up a bit going into part 2, but it doesn't have the same pull so far as book one did. I think a lot of that, for me, has to do with the characters and the time given to them. The overarching plot is still fascinating, but I don't feel the same investment level. Hoping that changes!

Starting the sequel for book club! Excited to see how Serena's story will play out. I'm glad Ali Hazelwood decided to share Serena's side of things after we got to experience Misery's in Bride.
