Kodiak is and will always be one of my favorite characters.
1) He befriends a sheep and names her "Sheep."
2) He weaRS A FUSTANELLA!? NO SHIRT NO SHOES ONLY SKIRT SERVICE HERE.
3) Cook me some protein-infused cabbage.
4) "No. Bad sheep. We don't eat blankets."

Literally so much happening in the first few chapters, yet the pacing couldn't be better. Despite knowing the story already, it still makes me dread what's to come...ugh.

...uh...

Literally the past 5 pages have been casual conversation about spoons...

Just finished Part 1 again. Hurts just the same.
Also just noticed that while Ambrose brutally dies instantly, Kodiak dies slowly until he runs out of oxygen. That's PAINFUL.
