I can't help but feel like this book is just trying, desperately, to reach some sort of deep, new state of consciousness for the protagonist and for the reader that's not landing for me. "The point of living is to happy" type beat. Redundant at times and the protagonist's dry, boyish humor is starting to annoy me. However, I know people like this who can never take anything seriously. General note: Need more women.
