The section about Dyslexia is cracking me up. This bit made me burst out laughing:

“I don’t know. I’ve never been tested” “It’s not an STI. You don’t have to be tested to know your brain works in a unique way”

Was iffy at first with it being a whole ‘thing’ that needs to be pointed out explicitly, but I’ve gotten over it. Dyslexia rep! Heartwarming :)

I’m actually enjoying this way more than I expected to. I thought I’d find it cute and cosy and fun but it is exceeding my expectations

Freaking shakespeare, man, mr ‘to thine own self be true’ and ‘I must be cruel only to be kind’ and ‘get thee to a nunnery’ and ‘to be or not to be’

When people remind me Shakespeare is credited/responsible for over 1,700 words and phrases I’m convinced half of these are in this play

Lowkey Hamlet’s just sad his dad died which is like yeah that’s valid and he’s going through a phase of wearing black and being gloomy. My goodness, outrageous, how very dare he.

Listening to the BBC audio recording. So, so god so far.

Woah look at that I’m back from my almost year long break (naturally lost many friends on this app during that break but that’s fine) and lowkey excited to read more now

Oh I’m loving Lacey so far, please don’t let her turn against us

I love this book so much so far, it’s so fun and honest about the acting industry’s biases - not that I’m an expert on those, as a white person - as well as so relatable with the struggle of being ‘good enough’ at acting and knowing what criticism and feedback is useful and what is bullshit. The dynamic is so fun so far, and I love Farah and the Tragedies so much!

[Brushing off the dust] Oh my gosh hey I remember this app

Meant to start reading this for my course two weeks ago. Didn’t bc it looked boring. I take back most of the criticisms I unduely gave it. I’m so absorbed by it rn tbh. Gloucester and Cordelia and Fool and Edgar and Kent are my faves rn

If there are any theatre fans out there I saw ‘Natasha, Pierre and the great comet’ last night in London and it was fantastic, incredible, wonderfully sung and staged, I could keep raving about it forever tbh

I love Jacken so much what a sweetheart he is

TWINS???

No I can’t believe it I read this book the moment it was released and then reread it twice I think, once immediately after and then again a year later. Excited doesn’t begin to describe how I feel about the news of this being adapted!!!

GUYS THEY ARE ADAPTING THE CHILDREN OF BLOOD AND BONE OMD I HAVENT BEEN THIS EXCITED SINCE THEY ANNOUNCED SAB AND THE CROWS CAST

I just think that Christian Borle and Aaron Tveit

Treated netgalley requests like auditions and I fear I may have overestimated how often I’d be turned down and now I got a LOT of reading to do 😭 so exciting tho!!!

treated netgalley requests like auditions and now I fear i overestimated how frequently netgalley wld reject my offer for a book and now i got a LOT of reading

Wrote some of my essay! Not sure if I’m using a lot of words to say nothing but hey at least there are words!

Sending all my love and support and best wishes to anyone around/in the fire areas in LA, and anyone who has friends or family thereabouts x

Having an unbelievably unproductive day today

I am going to start reading today I am

Happy 2025 everyone!!!

New years. Drunk. All I wanna do is finish my book. Real party animal I am.

Im so proud of her and that she’s choosing to not hold her pain against herself but to use it to move on

It’s just like she said about her mum, it’s understandable that she acts this way but that doesn’t make it okay like. And yes girl well done finally you’ve caught onto it all

Argh it was all so close to happiness but I was waiting for the second fallout and here it is I guess

Tommy has every reason to be upset at the both of them, actually, and I hadn’t properly considered that till now bc we’re not seeing his pov so naturally we’ve been biased and thinking more how Eli does
