I'm gonna try to finish because the premise sounds good and there's so many 5 star reviews but the writing is throwing me off. There's pov changes mid page where one paragraph is the fmc, the next is another guy and then its back to her, and then time jumps with no page breaks or anything.

Finally getting up the nerve to read this after how the last book ended

Just a little reread so I can finally read book 2

So I tried this book once before (last year I think?) And quit because I kinda hated the FMC for not stopping to think ever. I still kinda dislike her because she obviously has a brain and is smart but refuses to use it sometimes buuut I'm enjoying the overall story enough this time to ignore that

Adrian has been into such a shit position. I thought I hated him but idk... it'll depend on what he does now lol

I'm still lost and hate the world building in this book...

Usually King fully introduces his main character/s and world at least by this point but I still have no idea who The Gunslinger is, why he's chasing a guy, where he's from, where the book is set... or much of anything about him or this world and I hate it. Fingers crossed it gets more descriptive before I lose the desire to read it 😂
