ok this may sound bad but this is a very good brain-off read. the plot is not too crazy and intricate, it’s just a really good book to sit and chill!!

actually the most beautiful chapter i have read. how do you make the first intimacy scene so elegant and gentle and loving and so perfect. wow. wowaowowowowowowowow

it genuinely pains me and makes me sad how little i am enjoying this book 3 some parts are just so painfully millennial cringe humor and some plot points are just very silly ? idk mannnn

was planning on stopping reading after getting to the cute scene of them falling asleep together but then thought “but they’re gonna have sweet morning sex! i must continue reading and just finish this chapter!” and then i proceeded getting shot 14 times

i say this in the most respectful way possible because the bloom town series is my favorite of all time. but wow you can tell this book isn’t officially published and proofread

okay a few things. first of all how do the people in this town just know everyone. like they somehow know/discover every single famous person before they’re famous it’s so random. second, some of the dialogue genuinely pains me. it’s so millennial at times it hurts but it also reminds me that these characters are in their 30s

i will say one thing tho. ally north YOU KNOW HOW TO WRITE GAY YEARNING & FLIRTING.

okay so there are so many little things that are reminding me of the haunting of bly manor. which is so funny bcs if i’m remembering right, bloom town’s characters were heavily based off them

i would finish this book rn if it wasn’t 2am. wow

oh my god i love this book. oh my god i love this book just the concept of being halfway done with it is genuinely shattering my heart i need this book to be 100000 pages and even that would never be enough.

this may seriously be my new favorite book and i can see it being a comfort book i revisit time and time again

also found out the author finally has a contract to republish & i will be purchasing it AGAIN!!!!!

joey and abby remind me so fucking much of caitvi it makes me genuinely sick. and olive and jack remind me so much of the twins from haunting of bly manor
