This is the funniest thing I’ve read in ages.

It would appear that I absolutely love this book for the exact same reason that a lot of reviewers seem to hate it.

Absolutely incredible to describe someone as looking like “the first abandoned draft of what would eventually become Tilda Swinton”

I’m paraphrasing, but “you are acting like one of the worst Assyrian kings” is absolutely one of the greatest and most snottily esoteric bits of negging I have ever heard.

The absolute worst breed of music snob: The people who are into the exact same stuff as everyone else but insist that their taste is radically singular.

Suffice it to say that this book and I aren’t off to a great start.

The narrator of the audiobook just said “she shook the parentses hands.” Parentses! Sigh.

Probably the first author to voice that sort of thinking in the last hundred or so years. Yikes.

Wheeee! Read in one sitting. There are a few plot holes, but if you read fast and don’t think too much, this is a fun ride.

Parts of this are very cute and clever, but it's hard to get past the fact that the whole thing is, well, stunningly stupid.

At this point, I'm just hate-reading this.
