i thought the book would pick up here, sucks to have characters described with repetition word to word introducing zero character growth and for the MC to be even more insufferable and selfish as the book goes on. There's a difference between creating a character to be flawed versus having them be hypocritical to themselves through the writing.

pausing my read on this book until i pick up a paperback version so i can clearly highlight how deeply this book stares into my soul.
