This book should have a warning for full-on kink. Of course, it alludes to this with the package mix-up-Wren mistakingly receiving a box of sex toys meant for his neighbor, Whitney, but it’s not until just prior to meeting that you find out that Wren is a Dom, & Whitney a Sub-both with edgy, kink embedded in their desire & sexual needs. This book is not for the feint of heart. It’s very erotic, if not pornographic.

I’m wondering how this book is going to progress, as the romance is already a done deal. I certainly like that the couple is in their 50’s and enjoy robust sensuality, but the dominance/bondage aspect is very poorly woven into the story. The interaction is very unnatural. I’m not sure why this book got really high ratings. It must rely solely on the maturity of the couple, which is is a rarity in romance.

Main Character’s kink/sexual fetishism is intense, and made me hesitate to consume reading. Be forewarned...because even with this character’s emphasis on informed consent, it is definitely sadistic, and made me nauseous! Hopefully, he is redeemed by the love of a good woman or this will be a DNF for me.

I will start by saying I LOVE everything by Kristen Ashley, and so, It pains me to say that this book has not been the read I anticipated. The beginning 20% was very slow, which is so uncommon for Kristen Ashley’s books. Additionally, the flow is very choppy with way too many intersections with characters from the author’s other series.

This has been slow-going, which is predictable with the first book in a paranormal/shifter series, but I am definitely getting frustrated with this author sitting the fence of the romance genre. I am not a fan of romance novels that take so long to develop a relationship. Lisa Ladew needs to make it clear, that first and foremost, her shifter novels are focused on fantasy, and paranormal worlds/explanations.

This book is moving too slow! At this point, there is finally some romantic interest, but the until now, it's all just been silly pranks and comical banter between the characters. So far, I am really disappointed and am going to start skimming to finish...UGH!

I have read the first 3 stories and am currently in the middle of One Night. So far, I am not disappointed! I am REALLY enjoying One Night-it is quirky, funny, and steamy!

Read first book, Nothing But Trouble. This was a good, wholesome love story. Nothing g spectacular, but endearing. Love that the book was set in Wyoming's Wind River Mountains! I was fortunate to spend a few summers with my family in that area as a teenage and young adult. Breathtaking and romantic country-book brought back some beautiful memories.

I do not plan on finishing this romance bargain. It is a fair first attempt, but I have been spoiler by much more seasoned and astute author's who have ruined me for authors as tame as this one. This might work for the young adult reader to cut their teeth on, but it is definitely G-rated romance with very little plot and/or character development.
