This chapter is weirdly relevant considering the push for a national missile system it does make me question the viability of what’s in Israel right now as well as it pointed out the system wasn’t very effective during the gulf war. But it could have improved since then.

I really enjoyed reading it, it gave a interesting perspective on Islam and how it’s changed over the years. Of course it’s outdated but it got me to begin thinking during summer break, I discussed some of it with friends and family and thought on how it applied to me. I highly recommend to anyone interested in Islam as a societal factor!

This book took me on a journey, it’s definitely a product of its time but a good one. In the end you can almost feel Malcom X looking back on his life all while knowing it would end soon.

It’s heartbreaking how easily you could compare this to a fictional story with a bad ending. No one wants to see someone finally find the truth he’s Been looking for, only for his past to drag him back down.

I like the book so far, it’s interesting to see what life was like for Malcom X and how it went on to greatly influence him. The stark contrast between the area he began in than his move into the big city truly showed off how close minded such an area was.

It also showed how some aspects still lingered just in a softer tone.
