The foreword took a very long time; why was there like 5 minutes just about the history of smoking in the shire?

I liked this chapter a lot more and it’s probably because it is set in more recent times so I relate to it more.

This chapter 5 was a lot more confusing but it could be that I’m reading it at home during Thanksgiving break

I don’t want anyone else to die. I wasn’t that sad about Johnny but I’ll be sad if anyone else dies because that’s just too much

I still feel the same. Though I will be real sad when Johnny dies. I knew it was either Johnny, Sodapop, or Darry is going to die.

It’s not really at all what I expected. It’s a nice book but I’m not completely in love with the characters. Nothings wrong with them I just think that already being half way through with the book I would be more in love. But maybe I will be towards the end. I thought it would be about a bigger time span. The writing style is not as sophisticated as I’m used to. Maybe not a favorite but a good story.

He is so gosh darn dramatic it’s kind of annoying. Mr. “I can’t move my feet 🥺”

Kind of interesting but think it’s gonna be a dnf

The author real enjoys metaphors. It’s a lot easier to understand when reading aloud. I find Montag’s wife to be annoying because she doesn’t understand and doesn’t even try to understand most of the time.

This isn’t a sad book but it makes me sad. Holden is just a traumatized boy who doesn’t know how to deal with his feelings so instead he just complains and feels depressed. It’s so sad when he talks about his brother or people he used to be friends with that he misses.

I think Holden is a pretty funny guy, I’m kind of confused on where this book is going to go. I have no idea what I’m reading. Is this book just going to be Holden’s thoughts on everyday life things that happen to him. I don’t know if I will get bored with this book or not
