There has to be a better way to discuss some if the problems with Lukács Obtology of Social Being... This is kinda boring

The old timey out of pocket jokes in this novel are so funny lmao

The critique of History and Class Consciousness by Lukács is very strong. I sorta see where this part of the book is going for, but I feel like it detours a little far from the political economy-heavy part one. If someone isn't very familiar with Lukács and Weber, they'd be lost.

Last chapter was an absolute banger. This chapter critiquing the influence of Weber is very challenging though.

Meszaros destroys Sartre's theory of historical change in three pages... What a savage lmao

Pretty interesting discussion of Mao's ethical egoism and comparing it to Nietzsche. There's a typo/factual error in page 122: I'm pretty sure On Contradiction was not written in 1964.

The discussion of young Mao's ethical philosophy is quite interesting so far

I sorta understand the argument about why the nuclear family is in to the capital system, but I think I'll need to reread it.
