I feel like there is so much happening in this chapter and is shocked on how Tito manning acted by chocking Jay and Jay felt like “there’s a cry from somewhere… gasping for air on my hands a knees” (Ribay 271). It just shows the high tension that is happening as they confront him for the death of his son.

Jay is facing a struggle of the fact that his cousin is gone and just can’t believe it everyday, these struggles led to him to start getting sad as he expresses “ I’m feeling so sad” (Ribay 222). I relate too it because I overthink a lot of stuff I have done or people I lost a lot and just think a lot about memories we made or decisions I made that make me think of myself more.

Jay is trying to figure out what happened to Jay and he was talking to Tito about articles and began interrogating him, then Tito explains how “you don’t live here. You don’t speak any of our languages”(Ribay 160). It shows that culture had a big impact since he yelled at him about how him and his parents don’t know anything and made bad decisions on leaving the Philippines and didn’t really care anymore.

I made a connection with a common issue everywhere, jay didn’t feel great there and feels worse every time, he explained how “what would she possibly want with them”(Ribay 101). It is interesting since a lot people also in real words closest people and relatives steal their stuff.

When Jay began texting juns friend and he bag to stress as hush friend sent him a picture, his messages were getting more intense and made Jay worry and soon noticed that the person he was texting was “his friend”(Ribay 40). He started texting more and wanted to figure out the really truth.

Something that I thought was awesome in the beginning is how they get into action quickly and have a good introduction to the main character and his friend. They explain how they "never get too deep into things... if something is bothering one of us, we never really talk about it" (Ribay 5). This is great because it shows the great relationship him and his friend has.
