It’s not bad I just feel like the Throne books feel different from the Kingdom of the Wicked Trilogy. I feel like the world we see in these books is different from what we were first introduced to in the KOTW trilogy. It’s giving more of a lighter fantasy book. They just read different so far and I’m not sure it’s a good thing.

I have been waiting for their book since Behind the Net! This is already looking like it will be my second favorite (Behind the Net is a 6 ⭐️ read for me)

The author did not just put the word “clout” in a book taking place in the 1940s. . .🙄 I would dnf just for that if it wasn’t for the fact I think the romance is finally going to pick up its pace

I find the FMC annoying more times than I like but I still enjoy her as a character. It’s between a 3-4 star rating so far. We’ll see how the last 1/3 of the book goes now that the plot is picking up

Listening to the audiobook and I’m loving this! I need to get it physical now

Took me a few chapters to get into it. I just wish the chapters would tell us who’s pov it is so we don’t have to guess

Im getting into it. I feel like the audio version is better than reading the book itself. The narrators do a better job of making the writing seem better than it reads as. Not that the writing is bad, it just seems slightly young. Or the writing at least makes the characters seem juvenile.

DNF. The writing style itself isn’t bad but I t’s not holding my interest. It’s labeled a slow burn but there’s nothing slow about getting turned on by the two brothers you just met, almost right away.

Took a bit before I could get into this book. I almost DNF’d at page 60. The beginning was a lot of telling and not really showing what was going on, which wasn’t much. Not a lot of dialogue either but I’m glad I kept reading. Once things started happening it picked up

I feel like the author is trying to force the lyrical writing. It’s not flowing at all. There’s no emotional connection to these characters. I may DNF

I liked these books when I first read them years ago but now I’m rooting for the FMC to kill or leave the MMC

Second time reading this book but it’s like reading it for the first time all over again. I can’t wait to continue doing the graphic audio for the rest of the series.
