I turn to my husband and vent.
If he had a dollar for every time I told him a detail he had no need of knowing, he could buy me more books!
This book y’all…this book! I have this feeling I’m going to make it my whole personality after this.

Not me having to close the book for a minute because Mrs. Danvers is freaking me out, or I'm cringing from second hand embarrassment for the new Mrs. de Winter.

So far, I’m incredibly impressed with how close Alfred Hichcock’s adaptation lines up with the book! (I already know about the ending change, so that won’t come completely out of left field).

These babies are precious and I love them.
FMC is a bit chaotic, but she is really young, so I'm going to see where this goes...

Warning: Reading this book will have all the My Fair Lady songs stuck in your head. Specifically: I could Have Danced All Night and Wouldn't it be Lovely.
There is also a servant named Higgins and I just want to start singing, "Just you wait, 'enry 'iggins, just you wait!" every time I see his name, lol
If you are a My Fair Lady fan but hate Henry Higgins as much as I do, then you will love this book *heart eyes*

Oh yeah, the Prince Regency is still about, ready to cause mischief. I wish more Regency novels included him, he's a mess! (writes in my notebook to try and make that happen at some point in my writing career)

It has only been 3-4 months and I'm already rereading this book, because I love it so much.

The FMC and my sister's name is Olivia.
She and I are one of many sisters...
She had a hard time getting a full time position at a school, even after being assured she was going to get it.
Time and time again it went to someone less qualified.
She DID finally (and most deservedly) get the job, but the similarities to the FMC and my sister are a little eerie!
Does this mean I need to buy her a ticket to England?
