I can't believe I've never heard of this book. It is the sort of magical book that reminds me why I love to read. And it is the kind of science fiction I love best: no techno-babble, just truly great ideas.

Wonderful, magical book, reminds me of "A Winter's Tale" and "Jonathon Strange and Mr. Norrell".

This is tough going. Boring does not begin to describe it.

As expected, this is a tremendous book. I love the recent filmed version of this book. Haven't yet see the original from the 70's (just DVR'd it). So far, the book is far better than the movie, which is hard to believe.

Really enjoying this. Bartlett is a solid observer, and does not meander from his goal of showcasing Paris and its people.

Steven King almost always disappoints me. This was on sale for Kindle, just 3 dollars, and I figured I try it, since I like the premise. Hoping it doesn't disappoint like his others. So far, it reads more like Dean Koontz than a King novel, which is a good thing.

This book is slow-going but well worth it. So much behind the scenes nuts and bolts of the film industry. At times, Hitchcock can be charming. But at other times he is a real jerk.
