The Man in Black had beaten Inigo, which I found surprising, because Inigo had been training his entire life for it. Even so, Inigo was beaten. I found it sad, really, because he was training to kill the man with six fingers, yet he never found the man so far. Then, he was easily beaten by a man wearing black.

Inigos past was told by the narrator, which I found interesting. His father was killed by a man with six fingers after his father made a sword for him. So, doing as any normal person would do, Inigo had spent the rest of his life training hours on end every day squeezing rocks and sprinting. He was insane and this book holds many unrealistic standards, which only adds to the fantasy feel the author gives.

The Man in Black is now following Buttercup and her kidnappers as they climb the cliffs of insanity. He seems pretty determined. Although, I am not going to act stupid and act as if I don't know The Man in Black is Westley and act like I didn't watch the movie. I did watch the movie, and I do know The Man in Black is Westley. Anyways, I love the writing style!

I find the way that S. Morgenstern writes very different than what I am used to. He writes with smaller sentences, as if every word could be a cliffhanger. Although, the editing from WIlliam Goldman is quite confusing, as he will come in every now and then and summarize what had happened before he took out the content. All in all, I am really enjoying the book.

Westley had supposedly died, which I know he did not, as I had watched the movie. But it has broken Buttercup's heart, and she locked herself in her room. She is now 19. I think that Buttercup's love for Westley is stronger than I can comprehend, as she had not loved again after she heard the news, especially after being told she was the warmest and kindest girl in the world.

After Buttercup had confessed her undying love to Westley, he had gone off to build a life for them in America. What I had noticed was the difference between Westley and Buttercup--besides both of them being extraordinarily beautiful. (Because why wouldn't they be?) Buttercup is not the smartest while Westley speaks multiple languages. Buttercup is very jealous while Westley only thinks of Buttercup. It's surprising.

In Mark, it mentions John the Baptist, who is one of my favorite people in the Bible! He was Jesus' cousin and boldly called the Pharisees a "brood of vipers" and told them to repent, for the kingdom of Heaven was near. I feel like John is an amazing role model who paved the way for Jesus, saving those through the Holy word and baptizing those who had been saved. I really look up to him.

(I know it looks like I am almost done with the book, but I am simply skipping around. Starting with John!) John the Baptist had been baptizing when Jesus had come to get baptized himself. I found John's refusal at first understanding, but when he did eventually baptize Jesus, I found the moment amazing. I, myself had recently been baptized and it was amazing in itself.

The count and the countess had visited the farm for Buttercup's father's amazing cows. But the count had started at Buttercup the entire time, which I found interesting because the narrator had said she was not even in the top twenty. I think the count will declare her as the most beautiful.

These stories of thirteen-fourteen year olds being charged for lifetime without parole shocked me. How could they charge people who's brains are not even fully developed?

Okay, so, William (Billy) is married, and yet, he is flirting with this blonde girl at the pool and lying to his wife about it whenever she miraculously calls when he is talking to her. Sandy is her name, and I do not like her. She said two of his books were "like her favorite in the whole world." I know she is lying and using him for his fame.

What I find sweet is how his dad reads to him despite being near illiterate. I can tell that Billy's love for action really influenced his life as he grew up. I am excited to hear the rest of the book they are reading! Is the Princess Bride a real book?

The next case Bryan looked at was a fourteen year old boy who has been in jail. He mentioned that America allows the death penalty to children, which shocked me to the core. Why would they allow the death penalty to children, whose brains haven't fully developed yet?

AAHHHHHHHH I AM SO EXCITED!!!! I love this book already, like actually in love. At first, I was confused when it began with Billy's point of view because I forgot that the grandfather told the story of The Princess Bride to Billy before bed (I know from the movie and hopefully I am right). I noticed that Billy is very imaginative and good at lying. Has he acquired that skill over time?

The state court is extremely unfair, which makes me angry. The fact that this is real makes me even angrier. The fact that the court continues to ignore Walter's case makes me think of how many other cases have been unfairly rules.

In my book, Bryan had visited Walter's family, and they were extremely thankful for him. I find this interesting, as instead of preparing for Walter's execution, his family was making jokes and finding a way to help Walter. They asked questions and were overall friendly people. With a community like that, why would Walter have killed anyone?

What I found most interesting was how calm Bryan had written the moments before Herbert's execution. He does not describe much emotion while writing in first person. I also was confused by how forgiving the victims family was. They did not want Herbert to be executed, tired of the death.

What really shocked me was Herbert's story. He had set a bomb on his ex-girlfriend's porch to try and save her and hopefully gaining her approval. Instead, it killed a little girl. I found this terrifying, as her friend had saw it as well.

What had shocked me once again was the brutality of the executions and the detail they were written in. It had mentioned a man with mental disabilities being electrocuted, which really hit home, as my brother has autism. This really struck my heart and surprised me.

The book stated that near the 1970s, most, if not all, jurors looking over cases were white, even if a larger percentage of the population was African American. I find this unfair, as it is obvious that African Americans were experiencing racism and when put to trial, I would personally rather have a person that has gone through the same problems as I have to be evaluating my situation.

The part where Canan had described Evan's execution by the electric chair shocked me, and honestly, made me want to throw up. The punishments that were used terrifies me and only shows how cruel humans can be. The electric chair is enough evidence in itself, and I wonder if there are any other cruel punishments that are still used today.

A man had came to Bryan in a wheelchair, very serious as he explained his scars. He had fought for his rights, which inspired Bryan to do the same. I found this moment important because it was so short yet so impactful. I think that this will be a turning point in Bryan's story.

What I found interesting was the prison punishment. Some were already pointed illegal, but I could not imagine them going into effect in the first place. In prisons, they treat these prisoners like animals, using electric cattle prods to heard them like sheep, tieing them to hitching posts, and humiliating them in front of everyone.

What I found shocking was the following, "Private prison builders and prison service companies have spent millions of dollars to persuade state and local government to create new laws, impose harsher sentences, and keep people locked up so they can earn more profit." (Page 16), Something like bribing the government sounds illegal in itself and should be stopped, as it is unfair to those who are on the receiving end.

Bryan seems very nervous about his future as a law student, and I predict that he will learn to be confident in what he does. I also learned that Bryan wants to specifically help the poor and change racial equality.

Rhys seemed to be very worried for Feyre after everything she had endured under the mountain. Even though Rhys has his own nightmares, he cares for her more than Tamlin ever had. It's as if he values her wellbeing over his own, which I find amazing.

What I found interesting was the fact that even despite Amren's obvious moral difference from the other fae, she seems to have found a home for herself in the Night Court. She seems to trust the groups, even if she is a monster under her fae skin. She was brought from another dimension on accident by the coundrin, yet found her way to Rhys.

The mortal queen's did not give over the book to the Night Court, The queens were very rude and old. I noticed how Feyre and Rhysand have grown closer, and yes, I do have a hyperfixation on their relationship. I find the fact that they constantly pass notes whenever Rhys is away with his power. They always banter and flirt and I love it!

Feyre had woken up to Rhys having a nightmare, his darkness grabbing her attention as she found him in his room and woke him. He had immediately went into defense mode, but she was able to calm him down. I find this really sweet because Tamlin never helped her with her nightmares, but she's helping him. I can't get over how cute the two are.

Amren and Feyre had successfully stolen the book, saved by the water dryads before they had drowned. They had only saved the two because Feyre had helped one of their sisters in the Spring court. I found this important because it shows that Feyre has a heart, as nobody else would help the water dryads.
