reading for sociology , very very compelling and poignant, the tragedy of it all is so unfortunately common

reading like an ottessa novel, i enjoy

so far the tone is excellent her voice comes thru so pithily and almost like pretentious yet you cannot put it down (except that I have to)

god so good!! rooney’s characters are incredibly relatable (though the protagonist and I are the same gender and age either way) and down to earth, yet compelling to read about. I love the way she describes the small details so you really feel like you’re there. her voice is so intriguing and though reading dialogue with no quotation marks is weird, I’m loving it so far!!
