I think Suzanne Collins did an excellent job making the book adhere to what we knew about Haymitch’s game while also still adding tension like with Woodbine getting reaped instead of him and Haymitch getting forced into the games, causing his situation to be way more tragic. I find it funny how he doesn’t know what a conservatory is. Haymitch getting a 1 on the scoring from the gamemakers is hilarious.
