It’s not happening for me

Already one of the most impossible books I’ve ever had the misfortune to clap my eyes on

Botanical glory hole? Really? You HAD to say that???

Unfortunately I am sincerely enjoying this.

My thoughts on chapter 19:
1. That’s not how women’s bodies work
2. Gross
3. Still not how women’s bodies work!
4. Madam why are you using your considerable talent to deal me psychic damage? The husband having an affair with the MC’s brother is traumatizing enough, why must you describe it in such terms? Do you want to hurt me?

This book is still fantastic but why is every last third of a nonfiction book so goddamn long

Temporarily shelving for now. Not even the beauty of the prose can distract me from what a dick the main character is. I’m sure there’s a redeeming quality in this somewhere, but right now I don’t have the patience to slog through and find it. (Written while hangry)

Language is beautiful but I can already tell this is going to be a slog.

A romantasy where no one gets kidnapped while commenting on how hot the kidnapper is?? Amazing. Never have I ever encountered a romance novel with an engaging plot, actually witty banter and prose, and likable/hateable characters that I care about. I might be in love.

This book is obsessed with power through relationships with older men. Can't wait to find out if the characters (or author) will realize it's a problem.
